Our commitment to renewable energy continues with KOGEBAN contract renewal
We are thrilled to announce that we have renewed on January 1th, 2024 our contract with KOGEBAN, the biomass cogeneration plant, for another remarkable decade!
This partnership marks is a steadfast commitment to sustainability and renewable energy.
Since our collaboration began in 2010, we’ve made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint. Today, Ajinomoto Foods Europe are proud to share that approximately 95% of our steam usage originates from renewable biomass sources, representing a 40,000 tons of CO2 reduction par year. This achievement underscores our unwavering dedication to environmental responsibility. We are also proud recipients of the ISO 14067 certification, a testament to our rigorous commitment to managing our carbon footprint responsibly.
With the recent renewal of our contract with KOGEBAN, we are excited to explore synergies within the industrial platform of Nesle, fostering innovation and sustainability hand in hand. Together, with the invaluable support of partners like Pearl, Idex and Carbon Trust, we can believe to drive positive change within our industry and create a greener sustainable future.
